An historic home is getting a new address. The 140-year-old Olds-Norman home is moving from 216 West 7th Street to 215 West 6th Street. The move is a way to ensure the historic significance and architectural value of the mansion. The house has distinct angled front corner tower, is considered the prototype of Olds Shapes. The house will be rotated and moved across private property.  The Queen-Anne Style home was built in 1884 for Clark Olds and his wife. Olds was a descendent of early Erie County Settlers.

The move is orchestrated by Thomas Hagen a local businessman and preservationist who plans to lease the property to Gannon University.

Moving day will take place on September 22 around 10 am. The move should take about 90 minutes.
