PennWest: Enrollment is Steady With 'Continued Momentum'

Pennsylvania Western University said its enrollment trends show "continued momentum in online learning, transfer students, and dual enrollment."
This fall, 10,548 students are enrolled across its Edinboro, California, Clarion and Global Online campuses.
"PennWest’s overall enrollment reflects the most stable enrollment numbers in more than a decade, with progress toward long-term growth underscored by gains in several key areas," the university said in a statement.
Online enrollment has grown to 4,448 students, an 8 percent increase over last fall. 496 students have transferred to PennWest, a 2.5 percent increase over projections, the university said.
Dual enrollment "surged by 270 percent." 340 high school students are earning credits at PennWest.
There are 2,060 students at PennWest Edinboro. 564 are new first-year students.
PennWest students come from all 67 Pennsylvania counties, 49 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and more than 50 countries.
