Warren, PA — The United Fund of Warren County will launch its 2025 Torchlight Campaign with the fourth annual Nickel Challenge on Saturday, September 27th, at 10:00AM.

The event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Bridge, formerly known as the Hickory Street Bridge.

Community members are encouraged to bring nickels or any silver coins to line the bridge in memory of longtime board member Barbara Tubbs.

This year’s challenge will feature a design contest, inviting participants to create personal designs out of change. A group photo will also be taken to highlight Hands Across the Allegheny, a new initiative supporting the United Fund’s endowment fund.

Executive Director Lacy Hansen said the event is an exciting way to bring people together and officially launch the campaign that benefits local organizations throughout Warren County.

“We are looking forward to celebrating our 101st year in the community and have a lot of outreach efforts planned this year, starting with our 4th annual Nickle Challenge,” Hansen said. “We are hoping for a strong turnout from the community and are looking to raise $375,000.00 this year for the Torchlight Campaign.”
