The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings went head to head on Sunday morning all the way in Ireland.

While thousands of fans got up early to watch, some lucky ones made the trip to see the black in gold overseas.

It was an early start for the owner of the Cab Bar and Grill on Sunday. Laura Roos said, "Some of these are repeat fans that we have been hosting for a lot of years, some new faces also. Our reservations list was completely packed this morning. Actually, it was completely packed five days ago."

Fans packed in several rooms to watched the Steelers play the Vikings.

Dana Volkman, a long-time Steelers fan said, "I wish I got here earlier, so I could do some tailgating, but I went out last night."

Roos said no matter the time of day, Pittsburgh Steelers fans come out and bleed their black and gold, "I just love the fact that people come out and socialize and enjoy the day. The weather is beautiful, we have people sitting on our patio, watching the game today."

There were even a few lucky fans who made the trip all the way to Ireland to see the game in person.

Patrick Browning and his wife, Rose, never miss a chance to cheer on their favorite team, no matter where they are playing, "We go to one away game a year for a long time now and this is our away game this year. In 2013, we went to England to see them play. The same team, the Vikings."

They said it's been a sea of black and gold and Terrible Towels since they arrived in Ireland. "There's a lot of people from Pittsburgh here. A lot of people. We have met people from Ireland, and they are very nice and some of them don't know a lot about football, but they are getting into it", said Browning.

They look forward to cheering the Steelers on whether it's in Pittsburgh or on the road.

State Rep Jake Banta also made the trip to Ireland as did Congressman Mike Kelly.
