WICU, Erie’s first television station, signed on the air for the first time on March 15, 1949. The station has come a long way since the first flickering black and white images Erie residents watched in downtown appliance store showrooms.

What has never changed during that time is our commitment to the viewers in the Erie area. Take a look back at the people and milestones in WICU's history.
