The scholarship was created in 2013 to honor the memory of the late Pat DiPaolo. 

DiPaolo, an Erie School District teacher, coach and principal whose mission in life was helping students achieve academic and athletic success.

More than 60 scholarships have been awarded in Pat's name, continuing his legacy of assisting high school student-athletes. 

The ten scholarships awarded Thursday evening, ranged from $500 to $ 1,500 dollars.
