A federal grand jury has indicted a Union City man for child pornography.

Joseph Edward Schwenk, 68, was named in the two-count indictment on charges of violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children.

Schwenk received and possessed sexually explicit computer images of prepubescent minors, according to information presented to the court.

He faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 or both, depending on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history.
