The pandemic hasn't been kind to all businesses, forcing some to close their doors. But for others, business has been booming - including Erie's Gordon's Meat Market.

In fact, business has been booming so much that the meat market has now expanded to a new location. 

Gordon's Meat Market, which has been around for some 40 years, opened their new location Thursday. It's only about a block away from their old spot on Peach Street.

It's not just a meat market anymore.

There will soon be a restaurant called "Firestone's," where you can watch your food be prepared in front of you, and a craft beer and wine store. 

Owner Kyle Bohrer says he is hoping to bring something new and exciting to the Erie food scene.

"It's definitely unique," said Bohrer. "It's here and it's all one big market setting...a lot of action, a lot of people talking about food, conversating, and that's what we're going for."

The new store is located at 4815 Peach Street in Millcreek Township. 

Gordon's is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
