A viral video of a Memorial Day brawl at Waldameer Park is sparking a discussion on future changes at the park, according to owner Paul Nelson.

He also plans to press charges against participants in the fight, Nelson confirmed to Erie News Now Tuesday. Millcreek Police made multiple arrests at the park throughout the day Monday.

Nelson, who remains on the job because of the love of the Erie community, says he refuses to stand by and allow things like this to happen. He says he wants everyone in the community to be team players.

"It's honestly disappointing," said park president Steve Gorman. He says this is only the second time in 25 years he has seen something like this.

The holiday weekend incident is also sparking a discussion on changes to security and additional ways to keep people safe, according to Nelson.

There is no word on what those changes may be, however.
