Police Investigate Shooting Near All-Star Game at Pittsburgh High School
Police are trying to figure out who shot a 17 year old near Sto-Rox High School on Pittsburgh's west end where an all-star football game was underway.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his leg at the intersection of Russellwood Ave. and Dale St. in Stowe Township.
He was rushed to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
An organizer of the all-star game is thankful the scene didn't become more chaotic.
"We overstaffed security," he said. "It’s unfortunate a shooting happened outside of the game, shots into a car, everyone ran and police showed up immediately.”
Police have not released any further information about the shooting or possible suspects.
