The Erie SeaWolves are excited to introduce the team's new alternate identity, Pepperoni Balls. The team will play as the Erie Pepperoni Balls during the Erie-est Weekend (Aug. 4-5) at UPMC Park.

Pepperoni Balls are a savory treat of dough stuffed with pepperoni & cheese. The food is an Erie staple.

The SeaWolves will be partnering with Stanganelli's Italian Foods of Erie to be their Pepperoni Ball provider. Stanganelli's Pepperoni Balls will be available at UPMC Park throughout the 2023 season.

Additionally, the team will be rocking new jerseys. The jerseys feature a black torso with red & white checkerboard sleeves, an Erie Pepperoni Balls wordmark across the chest. The jersey also features custom numbering on the numbering on the back with pepperoni-style numerals.

The team will also wear on-field black caps with an anthropomorphic pepperoni ball swinging for the fences.

The team is also hosting a 'Name the Pepperoni Ball' character campaign. From now until Sunday, April 16th, fans can vote online to help the team pick a name.
