The Emmaus Ministries Board of Directors has named Sister Valerie Luckey Director of Emmaus Ministries. 

She was chosen to take over after the unexpected death of Sister Mary Miller on May 14. 

Sister Valerie has been with Emmaus since 2019, she learned the day-to-day operations from Sister Mary. 

"Sister Mary gave us a beautiful example to follow as we carry on this gospel work," said Sister Valerie. 

The Emmaus Soup Kitchen opened at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 1974. In addition to the soup kitchen, Emmaus Ministries also has a weekly food pantry, and after school program.
