A job that produces smiles all of the time. That's what an area woman spends her days doing, and it all surrounds balloons. From small to massive displays.

Erie News Now shares the extent of her designs in this week to Giving You the Business Report sponsored by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership.

The sound of blowing up balloons resonates every day with Rebecca Galloway. She is a woman behind Rubber Ducky Balloon Designs.

It's a company she and her husband started during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it's nothing like they have ever done before.

"My background is actually in occupational therapy," said Rebecca.

But now her occupation is spearheading a balloon decorating business.

"Anything you can think of balloons," said Rebecca. "We can do it."

And she's not kidding.

"We do you birthday parties anniversaries, large, corporate events."

Rebecca and her husband Scott had always wanted to open a business together.

"One day, he proposed the idea of decorating with balloons," said Rebecca. "I said, what do you mean, so he showed me all the stuff on Instagram and I just fell in love with it and I was like absolutely."

Rebecca and her husband launched business in February 2021, after practicing with YouTube tutorials in their backyard for six months.

How did they get clients? Social media.

The company is known for their large balloon installations Rebecca will travel. She's done jobs in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Western New York and locally.

Rebecca says the quality of balloon is important to the display. Picture perfect creations, creating moments to make people smile.

Her ultimate goal to grow and expand and have a space that good couple as an event location.

Rebecca says that some of her indoor displays have lasted up to six months.
