Residents within the City of Meadville may be affected by a planned outage scheduled for Saturday, September 16th. 

The City of Meadville has been notified of the outage and said it is a great time to review your home preparedness plan in case an outage happens in the future. 

According to Penelec, the outage was planned to upgrade facilities for enhanced circuit reliability for customers. 

The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of Park Ave., Linden St., Market St., Elm St., Chula Ct., Autumn Dr., Poplar St., Willow St., Water St., Marion Alley, Arch St., McHenry St., Arterial Hwy. (French Creek Pkwy.), S. Cottage St., and Hemlock St.. 

The outage is scheduled to occur between 7:30-8:30 a.m. and is only scheduled to last 1 hour.
