The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is hosting a Healthcare Career Expo in conjunction with other area healthcare-related organizations on Monday, May 13 at the Bayfront Convention Center. 

The expo will take place from 2-7 p.m. on Monday. 

Some of the available career opportunities will include: 

  • Allied Health: Dietitians, Respiratory Therapists, Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists
    (OT), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Certified Occupational
  • Therapy Assistants (COTA), and Radiology Technicians;
  • Healthcare Business Office: Coding and Billing Specialists;
  • Support Services: Housekeeping, Maintenance, Dietary, and Transportation positions;
  • Clinical Care: Medical Assistants (MA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurses
    (LPN), and Registered Nurses (RN);
  • Behavioral Health: Therapists, Counselors, Mental Health Professionals, Mental Health Workers, Case
    Managers, Social Workers, and Behavioral Health Technicians.

Representatives from LECOM said the expo was created to help address the need for more healthcare workers throughout the region.

Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to talk with local professionals on the topics of finance, real estate, and insurance.
