EmergyCare honored one of their employees Thursday morning as part of their celebration of their 40th anniversary as well as EMS Week. 

Matthew Aldrich received this year's spirit of EmergyCare award in a ceremony at their east garage location. The award is given annually to the employee that shows a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. 

Aldrich has worked in EmergyCare's fleet department since 2015 and was nominated for the award by his co-workers.

EmergyCare leadership view the ceremony as a way to honor their staff while reaffirming their commitment to the community.

EmergyCare's service area covers over 2,100 square miles and around 300,000 people in North Western Pennsylvania.
