Port Farms, Poverty Knob to Kick off February with Groundhog’s Winter Fest
Port Farms and Poverty Knob in Waterford is hosting its second annual Groundhog’s Winter Fest on February 1st and 2nd.
Admission is free, and the event offers activities for all ages including live music, ice carvings, bonfires, wagon rides and a hot cocoa bar. New this year, guests can enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides through the farm, but reservations are required. Select activities have a small fee.
Saturday’s highlights include a "best dressed” contest with a groundhog and polka theme, while Sunday features a snowman-building contest with prizes. Both days offer specialty food, drinks and family-friendly fun.
The festival kicks off Friday night with live accordion music at the on-site brewery, Poverty Knob, from 5 to 8 p.m. Activities continue all weekend, with hours running Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
Port Farms is located at 2055 Stone Quarry Rd. in Waterford.
