Erie Police Arrest Two Additional Suspects in Connection to Homicide

Erie police have arrested two more suspects in connection to the second homicide of the year in the city.
On Wednesday, police arrested 27-year-old Khalil Pannell and 23-year-old Amanda Duran and charged them with criminal homicide.
Earlier this week, police also arrested 18-year-old Kyleshiana Pacley and charged her in connection to the case.
The shooting happened Jan. 17, on Fairmount Parkway near Downing Ave.
Police arrived at the scene and found 21-year-old Canyon McGarvey on the street outside of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.
McGarvey was taken to UPMC Hamot and later died from his injuries.
According to Erie Police Chief Dan Spizarny, this is the third homicide in a 30 day span, resulting in 11 arrests.
"In these last three homicides, multiple other people have been involved," said Chief Spizarny. "It's not just been one shooter, but I congratulate the detectives on their hard work, getting to the bottom and letting people know that if they are going to obstruct justice or hide out the suspect, that they will in fact be charged also with the crime."
Chief Spizarny says this is still a very active and ongoing investigation.
