Encouraging news from the Parker Lord plant in Saegertown. Erie News Now has learned that employees are returning to work.

Parker Lord, the largest employer in Saegertown, is recovering from a damaging fire and explosion earlier this month.

According to a company vice president, the Saegertown team has made great progress and this week is expecting the large majority of team members to return to work at the facility.

Neighbors around the plant say they see plenty of activity and lots of cars coming and going. Parker Lord makes coatings and adhesives used for automotive, aerospace and other industries. 

The Saegertown plant has 220 employees. The spokesman said the investigation as to the cause is still underway.
