Northwest Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association Names Award After Longtime Coach

The Northwest Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association announced Thursday it is naming its Assistant Coach of the Year Award in honor of longtime Cathedral Prep assistant coach Pat Czytuck.
“Pat’s loyalty, knowledge, and selflessness made him an invaluable part of Cathedral Prep’s success over the decades,” Frank added. “Naming this award after him ensures that his influence and legacy will continue to inspire coaches for generations to come.”
Czytuck spent 49 years as an assistant coach under five different head coaches.
Czytuck was honored with the award that now bears his name in 2017.
The newly named Pat Czytuck Assistant Coach of the Year Award will be presented at the NWPFCA’s annual
awards ceremony.
Czytuck passed away in early March at the age of 72 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
