Taste of Love Cooking & Catering to Celebrate Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting

Erie's Black Wall Street is hosting a ribbon cutting for Taste of Love Cooking & Catering, the highly anticipated soul food restaurant owned by Natasha Tyes, on Friday, April 18th.
The new restaurant is located at 901 Parade Street in Erie. The property is owned by the East Side Renaissance Group, which is actively revitalizing Parade Street.
Attendees will be treated to free banana pudding giveaways, along with the chance to try signature dishes like the Honey Hot Soul Bowl, Gumbo, and Seafood Platters.
“This is the start of a new, beautiful beginning,” said Natasha, owner and head chef of Taste of Love. “This journey hasn’t been easy, but with love, support, and faith, I’m opening my doors to feed the community with soul—and soul food.”
Natasha is a graduate of the New Wall Street Ventures (NWSV) program. The program, formerly known as Vanguard Erie, aims to support minority entrepreneurs through mentorship, training, and strategic growth opportunities.
“Watching Natasha turn her vision into reality is what this work is all about,” said Kyra Taylor, Executive Director of Erie’s Black Wall Street. “Taste of Love isn’t just another restaurant—it’s a celebration of resilience, legacy, and what’s possible when Black entrepreneurs are given the tools and space to thrive.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday.
