Erie resident, Bill Welch is honoring local World War II veterans and their families in a different way.

 He's writing a book about the greatest generation.  He has nearly two hundred pages written and he is up to the year, 1944.

Welch is asking for pictures of any World War II veterans from Erie or pictures from the 40's locally.
