Steener’s Pub, a local favorite known for hearty food and welcoming vibes, will be featured on an upcoming episode of America’s Best Restaurants (ABR).

The national media company will film at the pub on Friday, July 18, spotlighting signature dishes and sharing the story of owner Bill Steener.

A Bemus Point native, Steener purchased the former gas station property at a tax auction more than 15 years ago.

Since then, he’s transformed it into a full-service restaurant and bar with extensive renovations, including an outdoor patio, enclosed seating, and a second floor.

Chef Nate Hallberg leads the kitchen, serving up scratch-made meals with fresh ingredients.

Steener hopes the ABR feature will help vacationers and locals alike discover what makes his restaurant unique. “I live on a lake in a vacation area… every year we get more tourists, but it seems harder and harder for them to find us,” he said.

The episode will debut later this year across ABR’s social media channels and website. This marks ABR’s return to Bemus Point after featuring Lake Life Café in 2023.
