The Ontario Hockey League announced Monday the preseason schedule for all 20 clubs. The Erie Otters will play five preseason games.

The slate of exhibition games kicks off Labor Day Weekend in Peterborough, ON. They'll play back-to-back against the Petes on August 30 & 31. The Saturday matchup will start at 7:05, and the Sunday matchup has a puck drop set for 2:05.

The Otters will return to the ice the following weekend, as they head to London to face the Knights on September 5 & 6. Friday evening, the Otters and Knights will meet at Canada Life Place at 7 p.m. The following night, the two rivals will play at London's Western Fair Sports Centre.

The Otters will conclude the preseason on Friday, Sept. 12, with a game against the Flint Firebirds. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. at William Allman Memorial Arena.

"Exhibition games play a significant role in a very important phase of your organization's season," said Erie Otters general manager Dave Brown. "It's an excellent opportunity to get young players in unique positions to see how they will react to situations at the Junior level, where returning players can get important reps in new roles."
