Walk to End Alzheimer's Returns to Warren County this Fall

Warren, PA — The 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 27th at Betts Park in Warren. The annual event, organized by the Alzheimer’s Association, raises funds for care, support services, and research related to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The walk includes the Promise Garden ceremony, where participants carry colored flowers representing their connection to the disease—whether they’ve lost someone to Alzheimer’s, are caring for a loved one, or are living with the disease themselves.
“Last year we raised over $24,000.00 just here in Warren, and we had 100 walkers come out day of the event, it really was an incredible turnout," stated Amber Beason, Alzheimer's Association Development Manager. ”We are hoping to see even more for the 2025 walk and encourage all of Warren to come out and support us, join a team or make a team - and if you can't do that or come out, go to our website and make a donation. Every little bit helps."
The Warren event is one of hundreds taking place across the country, but organizers say that money raised locally is used to support families and programs in the region.
As federal funding for Alzheimer’s research has seen recent cuts, organizers are stressing the importance of community fundraisers like this one to help continue research efforts. With several weeks remaining before the event, there is still time for individuals to register, form teams, or contribute financially.
More information about the walk, including registration and donation options, can be found at the Alzheimer’s Association’s website, here.
