Sauce Vegan Ristorante announced on Facebook that it will close its brick-and-mortar location on August 1st. The decision, driven by rising food costs and economic challenges, marks the end of one chapter, but starts off another.

“This is not goodbye,” Samanthae wrote in a heartfelt message to supporters. “Sauce will be coming to you as a food truck.”

The announcement comes with a promise to bring the flavors and experiences of Sauce to the streets of Erie. The mobile version of the restaurant will offer catering and a food truck experience that aims to be more than just a meal, one that’s “magical, sensual, and exhilarating,” according to Samanthae.

“I am proud of Sauce. I am proud of myself and everyone involved,” Samanthae said. “We did it. We will continue doing it.”

As Sauce prepares to shift to a new format, the mission remains unchanged: to feed, uplift, and connect.

More information about the food truck launch and catering availability is expected in the coming weeks.
