Many students head back to school this week.

Erie's Public Schools begin Monday for the start of the academic year.

But before students entered their classrooms, there was one last chance for them to enjoy summer and get some last minute supplies.

The Back to School jam was held at the Veterans Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Parents and their children waited until the gates opened to get back to school supplies and backpacks.

There were snacks, bouncy houses, and other activities for families to enjoy as they say goodbye to summer and hello to a new school year.

Sunday's event was organized by Erie's Juneteenth Celebration alongside the Booker T. Washington Center, Save the Youth, and the Islamic Association of Erie.
