"No cruelty case is ever easy...but some hit harder than others," the ANNA Shelter's Facebook post Wednesday began. Their team is now caring for a 6-month-old pitbull puppy they have named Faith.
She was given to the shelter Tuesday evening, emaciated and covered in some of the "worst urine scalding we've seen in a really long time; and in overall horrific condition," the shelter said.
She was bathed and got her nails trimmed. Fluids and antibiotics were administered, too.
She is expected to spend several days in the intensive care isolation area at the ANNA Wellness Center West to let infections heal.
Once released, she will need a foster home. People who are interested can contact the ANNA Shelter for more information.
