Troy McCanna, retired FBI special agent, talks about dealing with a school shooting and what measures could be taken to prevent them happening going forward.

McCanna spent 23 years at the bureau and is now the chief security officer for RAD, Robotic Assistance Devices, and discussed how their software analyzes video feeds and identifies visible firearms with a high degree of accuracy and when a threat is detected, the system can immediately trigger on-site alerts, notify staff or first responders, and activate emergency protocols.

The software is being offered to K-12 schools for free.
